YES......I am still alive and kickin'. Haven't had time to post since I returned home on Monday.......and I'm still recovering from my visit at Mom's.
I painted her bedroom for her.......took me 3 freakin' days to paint one smallish bedroom......Glidden Paint really let me down this time (I usually swear by Glidden.....this time I sweared AT Glidden). Four coats of paint on each wall! However, my hard work was not in vain......the room came out gorgeous. (Kate.....if you want to check out the color.....it is in the Bright & Lively selection....."Last Tango"). I painted the ceiling "Antique White" and the trim White. On my next visit I will take pictures (forgot to bring my camera this time.....duh.)
Joe barfed in the living room.........Mom held the waste basket for him. All this happened while I was fixing myself something to eat. Good timing. My appetite went out the window. He had eaten 2 large pieces of blueberry pie and then a head cheese (disgusting) sandwich with mayo (in that order). No wonder he was tossing his cookies. Always an adventure at Mom's place!
As far as the insurance money goes........Mom got 2K.......I got almost 7K. We worked out the problem.......fair is fair! :-)
