thinking of yesterday

I'm sitting hear with the head phones blasting in my ears jamming to, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Gosh, the memories of that time in my life. I grew up in the most radical of times.......from, "Leave it to Beaver", to, "Woodstock". Throw in some Vietnam War, flower children, sex, drugs and rock n' roll......a unique time in history.......and I'm glad I experienced it.
I guess you could have labeled me as a freak/psyche, or the most common name for that generation of young people, a hippie (at least I thought I was). I was the first girl to wear hip-hugger bell bottoms in high school. I attended war protests at the State Capital and various moratoriums, hubby marched in Washington DC. I did drugs (mostly pot and speed), I hitchhiked when I had to, got drunk on beer and Boon's Farm apple wine, skipped school when I felt like it, ditched my bra sometimes, attended some really wild parties, hung out whenever I could. As for "Free Love", I never got into that. I was a good girl that way, I did have some respect for myself! lol
The good ole days.
::sigh::
