whoa wabbit!

Caine and I went down to the pen to visit the baby rabbits.....of course, the dogs had to tag along too. At the moment, they are the sentinels of the dog pen.....::ahem:: Gee, I wonder why?
Anyway.......I was moving the nest covering and we were oooooing and awwwing when one of the babies ran out! Yikes! It scampered towards the fence where the dogs were on the other side.......with their choppers ready for a tasty treat. OMG, I pushed it away from the fence (poor thing), then grabbed it and stuffed it back into the nest. Of course, the dogs were going bonkers. I don't think I'll be disturbing the nest anymore. Hopefully, these little guys make it out of our yard before becoming fuzzy little snacks.
Last year Dixie found a nest and ate them all. ::ick::
