my avon lady

I was reading the paper this morning and happened upon the obituaries, to my shock and sadness, my former Avon Lady was listed there. Her name is Anna Jones, she was 71.
Anna was a robust woman of Italian decent and she loved being an Avon representative......and boy, could she talk! I heard her life story every time she stopped by to deliver my order. You could expect at least an hours visit.
I stopped ordering from her when hubby lost his job in 2001, but she would still drop off the catalogs and sometimes call me to see if I wanted anything.
I hadn't heard from her in about a year....I figured she stopped dropping off books because I wasn't buying anything. She was probably sick.
I should have called her to see how she was. :-(
