The weather has been gorgeous here in South Jersey.......however, today was cool and a bit too windy for my taste. So far, a fantastic spring! I can't wait to start planting, but, I always wait until after Mother's Day just in case of frost.
Hubby is over my Mom's place for the weekend, he's doing a bunch of yard work for her.
It's too far to drive back every day, so he decided to stay there till Sunday. This time away is good for us, we are together 24/7 and absence DOES make the heart grow fonder! Sometimes I could strangle him, he can really be a burr under my saddle. Don't get me wrong, I love this man with my soul, but he can be as irritating as diaper rash at times! :-)
Last Saturday we spent the day with my in-laws. We had dinner at a Chinese buffet, it was delicious! I even ate some sushi with wasabi (sp?) sauce! Yummy! This was my first time eating "raw fish"! It didn't taste fishy as you might expect...it was quite tasty and I'll sure have it again.
I haven't been feeling good for the past 3 or 4 days. I have a sore throat and the gland under my left jaw is swollen and sore (hmm....the raw fish??) Nothing tastes good to me except for sweet stuff. That reminds me, I have the oven preheating for brownies.
We did get our taxes done in time.....thankfully! We had an accountant do it for us.......we only owe social security taxes. We didn't make enough money to owe Federal or States taxes. I don't know if that's good or bad!
I'm currently knitting a sweater in a rice pattern. I'm working on the left front now, the back is finished. The color is "purple passion". By the time I get it done, it won't be sweater weather anymore!
Well, off to make my brownies!!

It wasnt the raw fish Chris! I have been eating sushi for years and have never been sick. Congrats on trying it. Try Unagi sometime. It is grilled eel, I know sounds gross, but it is really tasty. If you like cream cheese a Philadelphia roll will be one you like. Is you like shell fish, try a spider roll. It is made of soft shell crab (fully cooked). Way yummy! Have a wondeful time having some alone time! I know what you mean about 24/7. That is my life too! It is nice to have me time once in a while. Not too often though!
Have a nice time getting a break! Enjoy your yummy brownies! Hopefully, you will start to feel a little better!
I am glad the taxes didn't turn out too bad for you!
Take care of you! Big Hugs!!!
Hi Chris, fellow crochet-er and 24/7-work-with-hubby (named Chris) here! May I recommend a can of pineapple chunks instead of the brownies? I know they're not as yummy, but they will make you feel a LOT better! :-)
