outlawing machetes. Couldn't you classify this tool as a deadly weapon? It seems that just about everyone in my neighborhood has one of the nasty, sharp things. No one uses saws, hedge clippers around here......everyone uses machetes for yard work.
Recently, some idiot used one on his dog in the next town over. Fortunately, the dog survived and was featured on the news the other night.
These huge knives makes my skin crawl! Imagine getting into a rift with your neighbor and he starts chasing you with his tree trimming "tool"!
I feel like I'm living in Rowanda.

WEIRD! Are you sure you live in NJ? I have NEVER heard of people using machetes for yard work! That's freaky Chris...VERY freaky! LOL!
People never stop amazing me.
My area seems to be a mecca for people from the "islands". I guess their tool of choice is the machete. Yup, it is very freaky! LOL
In my area of Fairfax, Virginia, there have been a rash of assualts lately using Machettes in Gang violence! It's scary what people will do to each other.
At the rate everything grows around here I've considered a machete. They do seem a bit dangerous though!
