Happy Mother's Day!

I had a very nice Mom's Day today!
This morning Caine and I headed off to our local flea market to buy flowers and plants for planting outside. I didn't see anything there that I liked, so we headed off to Home Depot. Gawd, was it crowded!!
I bought 2 flats of really pretty petunias, some vinca vine, 5 geraniums, 1 hanging geranium in a pot, half a flat of impatients (sp?), two other flowering plants (can't think of the names), and a cute planter. I planted all the front window boxes and some pots, tomorrow I will plant the rest of the flowers.
After our Home Depot shopping spree, Caine took me out to lunch at Applebee's. It was totally packed there too! We opted for the smoking section so we didn't have to wait for seats.
Then we had to go back to the Depot because I forgot potting soil. Still crowded! We used the self checkout instead of waiting in line. I think we would still be there! Sheesh!
This evening was designated movie night, so I ordered the remake of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" via pay-per-view. I made us some root beer floats and we enjoyed the movie. I still like the original version better.
That was my day.........and now I am pooped!
